ChillyRoom is a publisher to keep an eye on because of their 16-bit action games. The first such instance was Soul Knight, which was released at the start of 2017. After three years of waiting, ChillyRoom has finally released a brand new product: Otherworld Legends. The game’s Android version is now available, and users have greeted it enthusiastically.
THE FIGHT TO PROTECT EVERYONE
Otherworld Legends begins with the villainous Asurendra creating an alternate reality. Soon after, he summoned all the heroes from all space and time to stand before him. At every turn, there are monsters and dangerous traps. And behind it is a plan to govern Asurendra’s dimensions after the heroes have been destroyed. You are one of the heroes who uncovered the evil plot quickly, and you and the other heroes will have to end it.
BEAT THEM UP TO WIN THE COMBAT
Otherworld Legends, like Soul Knight, is a beat ’em up set in a fantasy world. Your player character will follow paths and tunnels under your command to confront and defeat hordes of enemies. The boss of each level will eventually appear. If you pass them, you’ll be taken to the next level and have a better chance of escaping the illusion world where Asurendra lurks.
It is, of course, how the game will progress in general. However, you should be aware that the difficulty increases with each level. Meanwhile, traps and otherworldly forces will emerge to harm the protagonist. You’ll need to make many decisions to survive, such as which characters to use in each level, whether to increase their strength or replace their weapons, and much more. Now for a word about the quest series. Although Otherworld Legends does not have as many non-playable characters as Soul Knight, the game’s quest structure is well thought out and integral to the story. You’ve just discovered the material, and more rewards will become available as you progress through it. That’s fascinating.
MANY BEAUTIFUL CHARACTERS
The characters you recruit in Otherworld Legends are crucial to your fighting success. Because they come from various timelines and dimensions, their skill sets are diverse and unique. Warriors, equestrians, magicians, ninjas, archers, and wizards are all represented. You must determine who has the best fighting skills for each stage and then select them.
Archers and wizards are two of my favorite types of warriors, but I can’t remember their names. They are quick and can launch attacks from a distance. While ninjas and warriors share some characteristics, they differ because the former is more powerful, and the latter deals the most damage per second. When up against a horde of creatures, you’ll quickly realize how useful their skill is.
YOU NEED TO EQUIP TO MAKE THE CHARACTERS STRONGER
According to statistics, there are over 90 different types of goods to find and use in Otherworld Legends. Armor, shields, weapons, or even shards of metal or stone can provide protection. What I saw of the armament system made it appear very strong. Only a few examples include iron gloves, swords, bows and arrows, mace, and drill bits. But that’s not all; you can combine weapons to create brand-new ones with improved stats and new tricks in the game. Many believe those 16-bit graphics are unappealing and do not contribute to a satisfying gaming experience. On the other hand, those familiar with Otherworld Legends recognize that these assertions are not entirely correct.
