Being lazy would get you nowhere in Hobbs, the base camp where your existence depended on demonstrating your value. To ensure everyone’s safety, the camp’s leadership launched several initiatives. Facilities were built to improve troops’ physical capabilities, drilling rigs were installed to retrieve precious minerals and oil, and vehicles were adapted to carry supplies from the outside world. Every available resource had to be carefully managed to ensure the community’s continued existence.
