Project SEKAI, an abbreviation for Feat. Hatsune Miku is a rhythm game developed by SEGA, Craft Egg, Colorful Palette, and Crypton Future Media. Shibuya, a Tokyo district, is the setting for the game. A young woman named Hoshino Ichika is out and about when she notices an LCD screen showing Hatsune Miku. When she returned home, she heard a song on her phone called Untitled. Ichika plays the song out of curiosity, but instead of hearing it, he is blinded by white light and finds himself in a strange new world. Miku greets Ichika upon her arrival at SEKAI by standing in front of her and offering to sing with her.

VOCALISTS WITH ANIMATION

Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO, and MEIKO appear in the game, as do other characters from Crypton’s Piapro anime series. These individuals are represented by VIRTUAL SINGERS (also known as VOCALOIDS). The five groups comprising the game’s new cast of 20 characters are Leo/need, MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, Wonderlands x Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de. Each of the units is guided by one or more VIRTUAL SINGERS. Players can alternate between SEKAI and the real world. You can travel between the two dimensions by using Untitled songs as a mode of transportation. Live2D is used to give the characters voices and animate their conversations.

PRESENTING THE NEW RHYTHM GAME SYSTEM

Players must tap, slide, and flick their devices to keep up with the constantly evolving, improvised rhythm notes. Colorful Palette’s creators set out to create a game that anyone, regardless of skill level, could enjoy. Most of the music in-game is VOCALOID, and the songs sung by the characters in the game can be switched between VOCALOID and SEKAI versions. While listening to tracks that contain a 3D or 2D music video, you can experiment with a 2D background. In Project SEKAI, there are many other types of lives, but the two most common are Solo Lives and Multi Lives. To participate in the game, you must form a team of five players from the available cast of 26.

MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES

The General Room is open to all players in a Multi Live (or Co-Op Live), whereas the Pro Room is only available to those with 150000 or more talent. The rewards for living in the Pro Room are greater than those for living in the General Room. It is also possible to host private games and invite only a few players. The rules are the same as for a Solo Live, except that the music is chosen at random from the requests of all five participants. You will not be able to rewind or pause the action when participating in a Multi Live.

Cheerful Live only performs during Carnival. In this Multi Live, your team earns points depending on kills. The General and Pro rooms are like Multi Lives, and joyous Lives are non-reversible and non-pausable. In Rank Match, skilled players strive to climb the rankings and receive rewards at the season’s end. Rank Match only has Preseasons and Main Seasons. Live Boosts improve loot, experience, and event points. During an event, you get ten life boosts instead of five.
