The world emerges from the shadows. The universe, like the Kaiju, arose from immutable law. Because they were accidentally taken from Earth, the first creatures appeared on a new, lifeless planet. Their inherent stability and strength distinguish them from the otherwise chaotic universe. While the world constantly changes due to the effects of movement and time, the Elders Kung and Godzira continue to rule the planet without considering these factors. During their lifetime, the world has changed dramatically. Many fish species began to swim aimlessly through the world’s oceans and seas, and tiny creatures began to colonize every part of the planet.
Deference is always shown to older members of a species. Even the small ones, who were too insignificant to comprehend the magnitude of their power, moved out of the way. Few elders are actively involved in global affairs. They effectively isolated themselves from the rest of the world by standing between nature’s immortality and the demise of the works that produced it. When another Kaiju appeared, the game was over. Other powerful beings, like the Elders, appeared all over the world. Initially, they bowed to the elders out of respect for their wisdom and recognition that the younger generation could never hope to match their power. However, as their numbers increased, this began to change. The new Kaiju appear to disregard the old rule that they will not disrupt the natural order of things by chopping down trees and killing animals. Though this enraged the Elders, they knew it was necessary to avoid war.
The younger Kaiju see the Elders’ reluctance as a gift and proceed with their plans. By the time humans appeared, newer Kaiju had already amassed enormous power. Despite their advanced age, humans admired the younger Kaiju and despised the Elders. People’s fascination with Kaiju has grown exponentially over the last few centuries. The Elders’ displeasure with their subservient subjects’ continued defiance reached a breaking point, prompting them to dispatch their minions or servants. It had been many years since the Kajiu and Human Alliance had stopped fighting against the Elders’ minions. Both sides had suffered heavy losses and grown increasingly enraged with each other.
